Every Child deserves a chance for Education

Operation Jenda is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing positive energy, self-esteem, and purpose into people’s lives. Our mission is to promote, encourage, and empower the next generation of philanthropists through meaningful humanitarian efforts.

At its core, Operation Jenda is an inspiring initiative focused on building schools and libraries for underprivileged children in developing countries. It also serves as a collaborative platform that empowers young people in the United States to realize and accelerate their philanthropic potential.

The organization is inspired by Miss Alison Jenda Khut, an extraordinary four-year-old whose Cambodian name, “Jenda,” means “heart.” She is the daughter of a Cambodian genocide survivor and a Laotian refugee. Her family owns Mekong Bistro in Portland, Oregon, an authentic Cambodian and Laotian restaurant. Jenda’s family history is deeply rooted in resilience—her paternal grandfather was killed by the Khmer Rouge, and her maternal grandfather served as a soldier alongside U.S. forces during the Vietnam War along the Laos–Vietnam border.

Known for her bright spirit and remarkable maturity, Jenda demonstrates an exceptional awareness of the needs of others, especially children who are less fortunate. Her compassion and philanthropic drive are shaped by her parents’ commitment to giving back to their community. With the support of her family and their broader network, Jenda stands as a powerful symbol of hope, generosity, and the impact one young heart can have on the world.

Past Projects

Our Organization has extended its philanthropic efforts across multiple countries,

supporting children of all ages with a strong focus on education.

New School Library in Kratie, Cambodia

In 2022, Operation Jenda (OJ) built a library for children at Doung Het Elementary School in Cambodia’s Kratie Province. The $30,000 needed for construction was raised through a series of fundraising events held throughout the year. The school is staffed by dedicated volunteers who teach purely out of compassion and generosity.

Thanks to the support of generous donors like you, this vision became a reality—providing a new library that helps expand educational opportunities for children in need.

Orphanage in Svay Sisophon, Cambodia

Also In 2022, my incredible Operation Jenda family and friends traveled more than 7,500 miles with me to help deliver essential supplies to an orphanage in Svay Sisophon, Cambodia. Together, we provided rice, infant formula, fish sauce, new bunk beds, mattresses, and many other everyday necessities.

I am deeply grateful to all the donors and supporters, near and far, who made this possible. There truly aren’t enough words to express my appreciation—your generosity has touched the lives of so many children.

Muang Sing Elementary School Luang Namtha, Laos

In 2023, Operation Jenda funded the construction of five new classrooms at a cost of $50,000. This project now serves more than 250 students from Maung Sing and surrounding villages. Notably, 100% of the proceeds were directly allocated to building the school.

Maung Sing, located in northwestern Laos, is a small town home to a diverse range of tribal minority groups, including the Lumien, Akha, Tai Lue, Hmong, Yao, Tai Dam, Tai Neau, and Meo communities. Nestled among the high mountains, the region is known for its rich cultural heritage and unspoiled natural beauty.

Sto. Nino Elementary School, Pagadian City, Philippines

In 2026, OJ raised $6500 to supply Sto. Nino Elementary School with much needed supplies including x7 Smart Tvs for classroom training and 3 computer printers

Sto. Nino Elementary School is a highly respected public institution located in Purok Bonifacio, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur. As an educational facility, our mission is to provide quality education to students in order to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Committed to promoting inclusive learning environment, our school offers a wide range of programs and services to meet the diverse needs of our students

Please find it in your hearts to support and donate to our projects. On behalf of the children and the Operation Jenda team, thank you in advance.
Blessings to All!
